Madar Arabic document search with collection, year and query controls
01

The brief

A document collection is only useful when its records can be found. Readers need clear filters, meaningful combinations and an interface that treats Arabic as its primary language.

02

The approach

Madar combines simple keyword search with an advanced query builder. Readers can select collections, set a year range, order results and combine terms with AND, OR or NOT. Empty and invalid states explain what to do next.

03

What you can verify

  1. Search eight synthetic Arabic document records.
  2. Filter collections and years, and change the result order.
  3. Combine two terms in advanced mode.
  4. Receive a clear warning for a reversed year range.
  5. Reset the form or inspect the no-results state.
04

Implementation & handoff

The hosted experience runs locally in the browser. A separate Node.js and SQLite implementation is included as a downloadable source archive, with parameterised queries, validation and a verification script. It is a runnable technical deliverable, not a production backend hosted by this page.

05

Honest context

An original studio project with eight synthetic records. No real documents, authentication, OCR, archive import or production hosting are included. The downloadable API and browser preview are separate implementations.
